The FoBB Fall Celebration is Friends of Black Bayou’s annual gift to the community, with free nature-oriented activities for all ages. From food trucks to free kayaking to kids’ games to guided nature walks to a photography contest and more, there’s something for everyone!
The Friends of Black Bayou Fall Celebration returns on Saturday, October 17 from 10 am to 1 pm, and all are invited to enjoy a day of nature, science activities and learning from community partners at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Come explore hands on nature stations, meet native animals, and enjoy art and science activities. Join us at 10 am for “Walk with Wildlife,” then help us turn the Blue Goose Migration Marker at 11 am. Big D’s Backyard BBQ will be on-site serving lunch, and FoBB will once again offer the beloved Black Bayou Mud Pies. Visitors can also view the 2026 photo contest winners. With canoeing, crafts and creative photo ops, it’s a great way to celebrate our community’s connection to this beautiful refuge.

Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Wineaux Fest at Thirsty Farmer! This event brings everything you love about fall: music, local shopping, delicious food, and plenty of wine and cider. Enjoy an outdoor concert featuring The Red Flags from 3PM-7PM. There will be 25+ market vendors to shop from, food from The Silver Spoon food truck, and the perfect fall festival vibes. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and enjoy the day!

Celebrate the 10th annual Woodstock festival with ACE Development of NELA! Come on down to an event filled with music, activities, art, and best of all pets! There will also be vendors and on site adoptions, so bring your pet and come to this vibrant community event!
Don't forget to bring any available cleaning supplies and pet food for the Shelter and Rescue Donation Drive!

Hasley: Voices of the Past is a twilight tour featuring the final resting place of notable community figures. Intriguing tales and family legacies are brought to life through storytelling by local actors and musicians. The tour is written and directed by Kay LaFrance-Knight, and costuming and set design is led by Gayle Frick.
Several tours will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Hasley Cemetery. Tour times are: 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Limited tickets are available for each tour. Ticket holders will meet at West Monroe City Hall 15 minutes before their scheduled tour to be shuttled to Hasley Cemetery. Some walking is involved.
Tour tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased on www.eventbrite.com. Tour information can also be found on the City of West Monroe’s website and Facebook page. Proceeds benefit the Kiroli Foundation.
