You know the countdown to Christmas has begun when holiday decorations start showing up everywhere. To celebrate this most joyous season, The Wellspring would like to invite our friends and neighbors to join us at our annual Holiday Open House Thursday, December 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at our administration building located at 1515 Jackson Street in Monroe.

Enjoy some delicious food by Thurman’s Food Factory and meet our staff.

We would love to give you a tour of our historic administration building. It will be beautifully decorated for the holiday season.

Get into the Holiday spirit with the Masur Museum! Featuring the popular Raise the Roof Fundraiser, the Masur Museum's Holiday Party will help to benefit the care of the museum's permanent collection. This will be a fun evening with food, drinks, music, and of course, art.

Representatives of Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) will visit with parents and students at The Hangar, located on the second floor of the Student Union Building at ULM in Monroe, on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The LSMSA Info Session will be held in Ballroom B. There is no charge to attend, but advance registration is required.

LSMSA is Louisiana's state-supported, residential high school with competitive admissions for high-achieving sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures that the program is accessible to all qualifying students. Students from all over Louisiana attend LSMSA.

The Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Ruston, LA is from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any member of the Men of the Church. To-Go plates are available! Bring the whole family! This is an annual event on Fat Tuesday every year.

MAD Dash 5K, presented by McDonalds/Gilley Enterprises, is a new 5K/ fun run where100% of the proceeds will benefit the Louisiana Cancer Foundation. The race's hope is to "Make a Difference" in the lives of cancer patients in NELA. Join in on April 5, 2025 at ULM in The Grove where they will kick off the 5K, one mile fun run, a Survivors' Celebration, MAD Kids Zone, and more!
