Diversity

KEDM Public Radio, as part of the School of Humanities, College of Arts, Education, & Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, is committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion to create and maintain a fair, unbiased work environment, and to enhance our ability to effectively serve the public as a media organization.

Diversity at KEDM encompasses our differences, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, class, and religion. KEDM aims to connect all of our community through programming that reflects the diverse and unique community in which we live.

University management and the Community Advisory Board seek to fully develop and revise as needed goals, policy practices and initiatives for Diversity and Inclusion. They may include, but are not limited to, recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce that is continuously representative of our community; educating our management and staff in best practices for maintaining an inclusive and diverse environment; producing content that consistently reflects and respects the diverse community in which we live.
