Second Chances Addiction Recovery Center invites you to a special Recovery Movie Screening at the Ouachita Parish Public Library (1800 Stubbs Ave, Monroe, LA 71201). We’ll be showing 28 Days, the inspiring story of a woman forced into rehab after a life-altering incident, and her journey through the challenges of recovery and self-discovery.
This event is free and open to the public. Whether you’re in recovery, supporting someone who is, or simply interested in stories of resilience and hope, this movie screening offers something meaningful for everyone.

Bring the whole family to the Friends of Black Bayou Fall Celebration on Saturday, October 11, from 10 am to 1 pm at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The event features hands-on activities for all ages, including animal encounters, canoeing and kayaking, arts and crafts, and a nature walk. Food trucks will be on-site, along with free sweets, the beloved Black Bayou Lake Mud Pie.
