The Nevada County Depot Museum welcomes the public to join them for the grand opening of a new picnic pavilion at Prairie D'Ane Battlefield in Arkansas on Friday, April 10th, at 11:00 a.m.
This new addition to the battlefield site offers a welcoming space for visitors to gather, reflect, and enjoy the scenic beauty of one of Arkansas’s significant Civil War sites.

PEO Chapter V is sponsoring their Spring Talent Showcase fundraiser featuring not only Cincone’s art but the musical talent of local performers and speakers including Alexa Herring, WMHS Falcon Honor Guard, Sandy McClary, Rev Jillian Hankamer, Mary Duzan, Barry Stevens, John David Cleveland, Ryan Kersh, Dr. Debi Chandler, The Northminster Choir, Justin Havard, DH Clark and a rousing finale featuring members of the MLK Jr’s Choir under the direction of Heidi DeCou. The PEO Sisterhood is a nonprofit that motivates, empowers and celebrates women through educational opportunities. We hope you leave the performance with a smile on your face and a new song in your heart! The art is absolutely stunning! Come early enough to browse through the lobby at your own pace. Free Event. Friends of Black Bayou hosts a free community event celebrating Earth Day, including the Louisiana Plein Air contest, a ribbon-cutting for the new Snake Room in the Conservation Learning Center (at noon), a nature walk, and more!
Join Catholic Charities of North Louisiana for a fun, family-friendly evening of doing good! Enjoy a pig roast prepared by the Knights of Columbus, live music from Tommy Fields and Mary Honeycutt, a kid's zone, a raffle, and more. All proceeds raised from Pigs & A Blanket directly support our work in Northeast Louisiana.
