United States Attorney David C. Joseph announced that after a year of increased firearm and violent crime prosecutions, there has been a substantial reduction in violent crime throughout the Western District of Louisiana.

A Tullos man pleaded guilty Thursday to possessing a homemade silencer that he had not registered.

 

A man from Mexico pleaded guilty to being an illegal alien in possession of a rifle.

Gerardo C. Rodriguez, 53, of Mexico, pleaded guilty before to one count of possession of a firearm by an illegal alien.
