Josh Madden Productions presents The Rocky Horror Show from October 31 to November 2 at Flying Tiger Brewery in Monroe.
“A strange but simple plot,” says show producer Josh Madden. The Rocky Horror Show is a takeoff on various low-budget horror films of the 1950s and '60s. A young couple driving along the back roads gets a flat tire and goes to the nearest home for help, only to stumble upon an eerie mansion where innocence is lost and freak flags fly. The musical is based off of the R - rated 1976 midnight movie hit.
Choreographed by Greg Baccarini, who also plays Riff-Raff, and featuring a cast of 14 actors—most returning for a second year—the show includes a live band, actors, and plenty of audience interaction. In addition to individual tickets, an audience participation prop kit is available for purchase for $10.
John Reynolds, who plays the criminologist and the show's narrator, speaks to the nature of Madden's production, saying, “It’s one big party in the back of Flying Tiger.”
Tickets for The Rocky Horror Show are $30 per person, with showtimes at 6, 7, and 9 p.m. Table reservations are also available for purchase. Adult digression is advised.
