bmuseum.org

Monroe, LA - On June 1, 2023, the Living Water Ministries Choir will be performing at the Biedenharn Museum's Riverside Gate from 5-8 pm. The concert will start at 6:00 pm and is free to attend, with donations welcome.

In addition to the choir's performance, an art exhibit will be featured, showcasing work by Brandon Virgil Sr., Rodrecas Davis, and selected pieces from the Living Water Ministries Collection. Attendees will also be treated to a spoken word performance by Alayna Chadwick.

For those interested in history, the Bible Museum and Garden will be open for viewing. This event is the first of many Juneteenth events planned in Monroe throughout the month of June.

The organizers of this event aim to celebrate the significance of Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. They hope to bring awareness to the importance of this day and honor the struggles and sacrifices made by African Americans in their fight for freedom. All are welcome to attend this cultural celebration and enjoy the performances, artwork, and history on display.
