Ouachita RiverFest heads to Downtown West Monroe Saturday, May 13

The City of West Monroe in partnership with Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group will host Ouachita RiverFest. The new event will take place in downtown West Monroe on Saturday, May 13.

Ouachita RiverFest is a free festival that will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the downtown West Monroe area. The festival will include live musical entertainment such as Flashback5, Doug Duffey & BADD, No Good Horses and D.K. Harrell. The festival will also nclude food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, a Kid’s Zone.

Rubber ducks will be dropped off the Endom Bridge at 4:30 p.m. and the proceeds will benefit riverfront development. Those who adopted the first three ducks to cross the finish line will win cash prizes.

The Ouachita RiverFest Big Bass Classic will be held that day on the Ouachita River. Fishing tournament weigh-ins will be held at Lazarre Park.
