Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum welcomes the Easter Village

The Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum (NELACM) celebrates Easter festivities with the Easter Village event from April 1-8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 323 Walnut Street in Downtown Monroe.

Easter Village is a spring time extravaganza which works to bring the community together for fun activities to celebrate the Easter holiday.

Guests can enjoy a colorful Easter and spring time decorated space with the World's Largest Chocolate Easter Bunny inflatable.

Families and schools from surrounding areas can enjoy the "Bunny and Me" Breakfast which includes a Chick-nic box, Bunny Hut decorating, The White House egg roll, a bunny patch, a 3-hole mini-golf exhibit and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The Bunny Hut decorating gives families the opportunity to build and accessorize their own bunny huts with arts and crafts provided by the NELACM. Similar to the Bunny Hut activity, cookie decorating provides children with a treat to decorate with multicolored, edible embellishments.

Children's Museum Executive Director Melissa Saye says "Each session with Easter Village is fun filled with educational cues that encourage learning." Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras and phones to capture memories for the Easter holiday.

More information about the Easter Village at the Children's Museum isa and tickets is available at http://nelcm.org or (318) 361-9611. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
