The Monroe Symphony Orchestra (MSO) moves guests with its annual Pops concert Fascinating Rhythms on Saturday, March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Bayou Pointe Event Center on the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus.

This year's Fascinating Rhythms will feature music from artists such as Carol King, Anne Lennox, Burt Bacharach and Hal David as well as five Gershwin tunes. There will be catering provided along with a cash bar. Maestro Kermit Poling will be conducting the concert with world renowned jazz vocalist Guinevere "Coco" York.

York has performed for audiences in Europe, Africa , Asia, Australia, and North America. She has recorded various singles and EP's, along with spending time touring in the Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra and serving as a professor of music with the Rotterdam Conservatory. York says "Being in audience is completely different from being on stage, and it's a vibrant experience worth being a part of."

Poling is music director of multiple symphonies and orchestras, including the South Arkansas Symphony, Marshall Symphony Orchestra, and the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet.
