The Junior League of Monroe gave teen girls a night to remember with the Cinderella Project

The Junior League of Monroe gave teen girls a night to remember with the Cinderella Project using prom dresses donated by the community . The event took place Saturday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Junior League of Monroe house at 2811 Cameron Street in Monroe.

The Cinderella Project's 13th annual event encouraged community members to donate their prom dresses for a unique cause. The event nurtured the hearts of young girls by showing them that someone cared about some of the most intricate years of their development . The event was open to juniors and seniors, and required a student ID or proof of enrollment for entry . At the event girls were given the opportunity to come and rustle through the glitter, feathers, and sequins until they found the dress of their dreams. Avery Dabbs says "When you see those girls when they put on the dresses and they light up , you are reminded that it is all worth the effort . "
