Annual event celebrates "Christmas past and present"

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita announces its 51st Christmas Parade. The parade will roll through the streets of Downtown Monroe and West Monroe on December 3, 2022. The event kicks off at 3:00 p.m. The theme of this year's parade is "Christmas Past and Present".

The Kiwanis Club has been hosting the parade since the 1970's and has only been interrupted by Covid in 2020 according to Jonathan Booth, Parade Chair, Kiwanis of Greater Ouachita. The parade is a part of the many projects put on by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita that benefits the people of Ouachita parish.

The Parade is slated to start in Downtown Monroe and finish in Downtown West Monroe. For route information, see the attached website. Parade entries will include beauty queens, elected officials, floats, church and school groups, and marching bands. The cost to enter is $50.00.
