Tis' the season for a "Blues" exhibit and Christmas gala

Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum's season events

Running November 10, 2022, through January 07, 2022, the Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum presents: A Cast of Blues Exhibit. The latest exhibit for the museum features 15 world-renowned blues artists and high-resolution photos of the colorful Juke joints in which they played. The photos are the work of Ken Murphy and are selected from his book Mississippi: State of Blues, a ground-breaking work.

The exhibit is called "cast" of blues and will feature the cast mold of legendary artists. Visitors will be able to feel the cast molds of the artist. Among the molds in the exhibit are Bobby Blue Bland and B.B. King according to Ross Slacks speaking on behalf of the museum. The exhibit began with a kick-off featuring the music of Josh Love and the Josh Love Trio.

Also on the calendar for the museum is the Christmas Gala Night. The event will take place December 9, 2022, starting at 8 p.m. lasting until midnight. "This will be a chance to dress up, relax, and have a good time", says Slacks. Food will be served at the event.

To purchase ticket for the Cast of Blues exhibit, the cost is $5. To purchase tickets for the Christmas Gala Night, the cost is $20 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code or clicking the link below:
