Vilasia Calhoun
News InternVilasia Calhoun is a senior majoring in Communication and pursuing a concentration in communication studies at the University of Louisiana in Monroe. She is from a small town not many have heard of called Coushatta, Louisiana. She went to Red River High School, where maintained a high GPA and graduated cum laude.
Vilasia has always had a passion for writing and dreamed of one day writing for the masses. This passion has led her to KEDM. She appreciates the knowledge and skills they will bestow her. Vilasia aspires to one day become a writer for a news station.
Close friends will tell you that she's a quiet girl who likes to keep to herself. She enjoys spending her free time reading a good book and creating stories.Vilasia is also very big on family. Her family is the most important thing to her, and she hopes to make them proud with her career choices. She constantly strives to deliver high-quality work efficiently and accurately.
