LDWF National Hunting and Fishing Day September 24, 2016

On September 24, 2016, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries of Monroe will celebrate the annual National Hunting and Fishing day.  This year’s event will be held at the OUACHITA PARISH SHERIFFS RANGE, 357 Sheriff Richard Fewell Road, in West Monroe.  The day will begin at 10am and conclude at 3pm.  The public is invited, with FREE admission, FREE parking, and DOOR PRIZES. Come out and be entertained with the free activities, contests, and displays. The activities will wrap up around 1:30pm with door and contest prizes being awarded at 2pm.

Activities include Bait Casting, Pellet Rifle Shooting, Archery, a LA National Guard Inflatable Obstacle Course and Skeet Shooting. Local vendors will have booths set up promoting outdoor activities and a Louisiana Wildlife exhibit will be present.  Come out and enjoy the fun!  For more information, contact the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries at 318-343-4944.
