KEDM Meet The Candidates Forum

The KEDM Meet the Candidates Forum scheduled for Thursday, February 18, has been postponed due to winter weather.

Meet the Candidates for Louisiana's 5th District seat for U.S. Congress on Thursday, February 18 at Louisiana Delta Community College. The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the LDCC Advanced Technology Center. 

Candidates will each make an opening statement, answer a limited number of questions, and make a closing statement as to why he or she can best represent Louisiana's 5th District in Washington, D.C. The event will be moderated by KEDM News and Public Affairs Director Cory Crowe.

Questions may cover economic recovery from the pandemic, health care, infrastructure, U.S. foreign policy, immigration and border security, diversity and inclusion, education, energy, environment and law and order, among others.

The event will be broadcast on 90.3FM KEDM Public Radio, streamed online at KEDM.org, and streamed via Facebook.

Seating is limited and a mask is required for entry due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
