Claudia Morell
Claudia Morell is a city political reporter for WBEZ.
Morell joined The Daily Line (formerly Aldertrack) to expand its coverage of Chicago’s 2015 Municipal Election. She helped grow the email newsletter into a daily publication that provides in-depth coverage of city hall, Cook County, and the state capitol. She helped develop and co-hosted a podcast, The Aldercast.
A San Francisco native, Morell moved to Chicago in 2014 to accept a reporting fellowship at WBEZ. She began her public radio career as a general assignment reporter and anchor for WFUV, an NPR affiliate based at Fordham University in the Bronx. She has a B.A. in International Political Economy and History, and an M.A. in Public Communications from Fordham University. She lives in Jefferson Park.
