Congresswoman Julia Letlow passes first bill

The first bill that Congresswoman Julia Letlow passed in the House is historic for many reasons.

"The COVID-19 American History Project Act will task the Library of Congress to record, collect, and keep the stories of Americans impacted by the pandemic," said Letlow.

The bill passed overwhelmingly in the House.

The bill will help people, like Letlow, share their stories of losing a loved one to COVID-19. It will also preserve the history of the pandemic.

Letlow stated that from experience, telling a story helps with the healing process.

The bill will go to the Senate next.
