New Senior Assisted Living Center For Sterlington

Billy Hathorn

The town of Sterlington will see more growth soon, and just in time for the cash strapped town. A new 32 million dollar assisted living center will be built near the high school. Sterlington Mayor  Caesar Velasquez said this on the new developement, "The town of Sterlington is still growing, and it's still growing in a good way. Even though we continue to work through some of our financial challenges, we're going to continue to grow and come out of this, and this is a big shot in the arm for that."

The Gardens of Summerset will have 20 cottages and 80 rooms for seniors and memory care patients. The town will see the new center in roughly two years.
