Winnsboro Easter Rock
Easter Rock is a rare northeast Louisiana Delta traditional African-American ritual led by women on Easter Eve to celebrate the resurrection. It began sometime before the Civil War. The church service presents the tradition which has call and response singing and a counter-clockwise circular procession. The public is welcome.
