A teen has been killed, while a Grambling State University football player and third unnamed person have been injured in a shooting at a suburban New Orleans playground.

 Four people, including a 16-year-old, have been indicted on charges arising from the killing of a New Orleans teenage girl and the wounding of four others in March.

District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro's office announced the charges Thursday.

Seventeen-year-old Tyneisha Muse was fatally shot in New Orleans' St. Claude neighborhood March 29. Charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree murder in her death are 20-year-old Joshua Augillard, 18-year-old Reginald Blanton and 19-year-old Corey Harris.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators advise that they have arrest two subjects for the homicides of Ronald “Anthony” Milletello and his mother Marsha Lolley. 

Toby Jackson, age 20 and Candance Beau Cooper, age 30 of Monroe have been booked in the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center for 2 counts of Second Degree Murder Each. 

The investigation reveals the illegal sale of narcotics/weapons was a factor in this case.

A New Orleans teen has been charged in the death of a man who was shot and wounded nearly three months ago.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reported 18-year-old Rontrell Keller was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Webster Rainey. Rainey was shot as he sat on the porch of his home Jan. 9. A 9-year-old boy was also struck in the ankle by the gunfire.

Rainey died Feb. 7 from his injuries. Keller was charged Jan. 11 with two counts of aggravated battery. He was later formally charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

A man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for a shooting death in Louisiana last year.

The American Press of Lake Charles reported 23-year-old Derrick Ryan Small was sentenced late last week in the death of 20-year-old Jalen Ortelli Handy. Small was convicted of first-degree murder last month following a trial that lasted five days.

Handy was shot Jan. 10, 2018, in Westlake. Prosecutors said the shooting occurred during a drug deal.

A man accused of killing three people and wounding another in 2017 has been ruled incompetent to stand trial in the slaying of a former Baton Rouge official.

The Advocate reports Judge Trudy White announced Wednesday that 37-year-old Ryan Sharpe isn't able to competently assist his attorney in a trial over the slaying of a former BREC commissioner.

A 21-year-old man suspected of killing his parents and three other people — including a girl he was dating — was arrested Sunday when he drove up with a gun to his grandmother's house in Virginia, a sheriff said.

On Saturday, Dakota Theriot shot and killed three people — the woman believed to be his girlfriend, her brother and father — in Louisiana's Livingston Parish before taking her father's pickup truck, driving to neighboring Ascension Parish, and shooting his parents, according to authorities.

A court-martial in Louisiana has sentenced a 22-year-old airman to 35 years in prison for killing his roommate in Guam last year.

The seven-officer panel sentenced Isaiah Edwards on Tuesday in the March 27 stabbing death of 20-year-old Bradley Hale, news agencies reported. Edwards will be dishonorably discharged from the Air Force. Both men were airmen and electronic warfare journeymen stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in north Louisiana.

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — An Air Force electronic warfare journeyman has pleaded innocent to a murder charge accusing him of stabbing and slitting his roommate's throat while they were temporarily assigned to a base in Guam. 

News agencies report that court-martial proceedings began Monday for Isaiah Edwards. He is charged with killing 20-year-old Bradley Hale of Montgomery County, Texas.

The Air Force says it cannot release Edwards' age, and won't release his hometown out of privacy and safety concerns for his family.

One man is accused of murder and two of helping him afterward in the death of a man whose body was found, wrapped in cloth, at a west Louisiana intersection.

News agencies report that 21-year-old Blaine Daniel Kennedy was arrested on a murder charge in the death of 58-year-old Steven Woodruff of Sulphur. He also faces charges of aggravated burglary and felony theft.

Forty-nine-year-old Clifton Bergeaux Jr. and his 21-year-old son, SirMalachi Bergeaux, face accessory after the fact charges. Woodruff's body was found near Sulphur.
