Lieutenant Billy Nungesser and Louisiana State Parks invites the public to a ribbon cutting to officially re-open the cabins at Jimmie Davis State Park. A tornado in 2019 and Hurricane Laura in 2020 heavily damaged the cabins, along with other structures and campsites. Crews have completed repair work to the cabins and other structures. The campground was able to open shortly following Hurricane Laura.The ribbon cutting will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17 at 3:00 p.m.
