Two Calhoun Teens Arrested In Homicide Case

Two Calhoun teens have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of Kiara Elee of Eros.  The shooting happened Wednesday morning on Brownlee Road in Eros. 

 

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says Christopher D. Florez, age 18 of Calhoun, has been charged with one count of 2nd Degree Murder and one count of Felony Obstruction of Justice. Gavin Bernard Karty, age 18 of Calhoun, has been charged with one count of Obstruction of Justice.

 

According to Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Glen Springfield the victim, Kiara Elee, was allegedly shot and killed by Florez during an argument. Both men have been booked in Ouachita Correctional Center on the charges.
