A new $3 million operating room is ready to treat area hospital patients. On Wednesday, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport - Monroe Medical Center cut the ribbon on a new Hybrid OR.  The new operating room is a workspace that combines imaging systems with a surgical table.

Jonathan Pillips, COO of the Monroe Medical Center  says "By allowing clinicians to diagnose and treat in a single location, we can improve patient safety by reducing risk and delays". He says the new OR will lead to better patient outcomes and will increase efficiency.
