In Nevada, a coalition of homeowners is drumming up support to put a measure on the November ballot to undo a rate hike for customers with rooftop solar panels. After the rate hike was announced, Nevada lost a number of jobs, with small solar companies shutting down or moving on. As Will Stone from Here & Now contributor KJZZ reports, the ripples of the rate hike are being felt throughout the sun-rich Southwest.
