As health officials work to mitigate the consequences of Flint’s water crisis, which resulted in high levels of lead in many children’s blood, some are asking, “why not simply replace the lead pipes?”

Michael Deane is head of the National Association of Water Companies and a former associate administrator for water at the Environmental Protection Agency. He speaks with Here & Now’s Robin Young about Flint, as well as America’s water infrastructure as a whole.
