University of Louisiana System's Black Male Summit

The ULS's second annual Black Male Summit will be held on the campus of ULM next week. This summit will draw attention to Reginald F. Lewis Scholar program, which is a cohort program designed to enhance the collegiate experience of black males across the UL system. In addition, this summit will also provide the opportunity for anyone who recruits, teaches, advises, coaches, or counsels black males at ULM to develop and/or refine their professional skills.

The University of Louisiana Monroe will continue to have opportunities like this. Opportunities to increase one's knowledge and to develop skills germane to specific groups. This educational opportunity and those to come, are designed to increase access to all ULM has to offer for a specific group of potential and present students and to enhance feelings of belongingness once the group is on campus. This time the group is black males, next time it might be autistic students. Again, this summit provides the opportunity to increase one's knowledge and therefore skills in making the student's educational journey successful.

This summit is open to the public. To register, please visit the UL System.
