Juneteenth on the Lawn

The University of Louisiana Monroe in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is pleased to host the "2nd Annual Universities of Louisiana Black Male Summit". The summit is an opportunity to celebrate the Reginald F. Lewis scholars, discuss solutions for addressing systematic barriers and look for ways to create new opportunities for male faculty, staff, and students.

We will conclude the Summit with a reception recognizing Juneteenth. The Offices of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, International and Multicultural Affairs, and ULM Alumni Association invite the community, faculty, staff, and students to join us in this inaugural event.

The celebration will commemorate African American freedom and emphasize education and achievement. As a nation, we are joining hands to acknowledge a period in our history that has shaped and continues to influence our society today. When we are sensitized to the conditions and experiences of others, only then can we make significant and lasting improvements in our global society.
