The Monroe Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the evening of April 8. Officers were sent to the 700 block of Dunn Drive in reference to a male being shot.
Officers located a male adult victim suffering from a gunshot to his abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later died as a result of his injuries. The victim was identified as Torance Davis.
The investigation into the case is ongoing. The events leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.
