MONROE – Each year, the Louisiana Federation of Teachers selects a student from Louisiana Public Schools to design the official LFT Holiday Card. The 2021 Holiday Card design comes from Reginae Blanche, a student at Minnie Ruffin Elementary in Monroe City Schools.
The Monroe Federation of Teachers and the Louisiana Federation of Teachers will host a small ceremony at Minnie Ruffin Elementary to celebrate Reginae’s work and thank her teachers and school. A Holiday Card featuring Reginae’s art will be sent to all of Louisiana’s legislators, the Governor, the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education as well as other stakeholders across the state this December.
