The Union Museum of History and Art will glow in the dark starting Halloween night with a costume party opening the “Shattered Prism—Art That Defies the Limits of Physics” blacklight art show.
This event is free and open to the public, held from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31st, in the museum, 211 N. Main Street, Farmerville.
Organizers kindly request that costumes remain family-friendly, asking guests to skip the blood, guts, and gore.
Running through November 25th, “Shattered Prism” will transform the gallery space into an immersive visual experience complete with blacklights. The exhibition will showcase paintings and three-dimensional glow-in-the-dark works by 19 talented regional adult and youth artists: Garrett Carlson, Heather Gill, Pam Hallman, Scott Smith, Renee King, Kelsey Mardis, Natalie Sturgis, Trey Gordon, DeeDee Thurston, Shane Kraft, Pamela Graves, Nataschia Fontana, Henley Rhodes, Carly Nation, Callie Kaheiki, Harley Choate, Laynee Gates, Naomi Martin, and Jenna Best.
