From October 25th through October 29, 2026, the Louisiana Office of Tourism travels to France and Italy, marketing Louisiana as a top travel destination. This visit connects Louisiana tourism partners directly with influential European travel writers, tour operators, and travel agents.
The mission begins in Paris, followed by Lyon, wrapping up in Milan, Italy. This trip promotes Louisiana culture, cuisine, and history, allowing key discussions and sales meetings for the upliftment of the state.
Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong, active presence in these key European markets to ensure Louisiana remains top-of-mind for international travelers.
"When we travel across the globe to talk about Louisiana, we are not just selling a vacation; we are inviting people to share in our way of life," said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. "France and Italy represent some of our most passionate international visitors, people who truly appreciate our rich history, our world-class music, and our legendary culinary scene. By meeting face-to-face with the travel professionals and journalists who shape where people choose to go, we are securing a bright economic future for tourism all over our state. We want everyone in Paris, Lyon, and Milan to know that in Louisiana, you are never a stranger, because when you are here, we treat you like family."
Partners participating with the Louisiana Office of Tourism include representatives from the Acadia Parish Convention & Visitors Commission, Lafayette Travel, Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou, Louisiana River Parishes, New Orleans & Company, St. Landry Parish Tourist Commission, St. Martin Parish Tourism, and Visit Baton Rouge.
