The Louisiana Office of Broadband Development and Connectivity has exhibited substantial growth since December 2023 and December 2025.
More than 44,000 homes and businesses have been added to the served count, improving more than three times faster than the national average, according to new analysis of federal broadband data.
“North Louisiana’s broadband progress reflects what is possible when states and the federal government work together with urgency. I am grateful to President Trump and our congressional delegation for their partnership in making sure rural Louisiana has access to the reliable internet every community deserves,” said Governor Jeff Landry.
ConnectLA’s GUMBO 2.0 program, with $1.36 billion in funding, is actively being deployed across all 64 parishes, with more than 90% of remaining unserved locations in the region approaching access to reliable, high-speed internet service.
“These results belong to the providers building this infrastructure and to Gov. Landry, whose commitment to rural Louisiana has made this level of progress possible. North Louisiana is closing the broadband gap, and we are going to finish the job,” said Executive Director of ConnectLA, Veneeth Iyengar.
