The Louisiana Office of State Parks introduces a program that encourages families and travelers to explore Louisiana's public lands and historic landmarks statewide. The free program offers a passport booklet as a travel keepsake. Visitors have the chance to collect commemorative stamps at each location they explore.
Travelers who visit all 32 state parks and historic sites can submit their completed passports to redeem prizes ranging from official state park gear to a free overnight cabin or campsite stay.
“Whether hiking scenic trails, camping under the stars, paddling peaceful waterways, fishing, enjoying family recreation, or exploring Louisiana’s historic treasures, this passport makes every stop along the way special. Each passport stamp represents a new destination and a new adventure,” Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser said. “The Louisiana State Parks Passport is a fun way to get explore new places and discover everything our state parks and historic sites have to offer. Grab a passport, get outdoors, and see if you can hit all 32 destinations”
Passports are free and can be requested online by visiting the Louisiana State Parks Passport webpage.
