Bayou D'Arbonne Folk Festival

Union Museum of History and Art presents its sixth annual Bayou D'Arbonne Folk Festival. This event will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., downtown Farmerville on the plaza of the Union Museum of History and Art, 211 N. Main Street, and the adjoining streets.

Headlining this year's festival are Dead Reckoning String Band, Back Forty Bluegrass Band, and Backroads Bluegrass Band—performing sounds that echo the music of early North Louisiana settlers.

Other musical performers include the Holmesville Baptist Church gospel band, the Union Parish High School Band, students from The Dance Studio of Union Parish, Gulf Coast Time Travelers historical re-enactors, and Homeschool Friends.

This event is free and open to the public, supported by the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council, as administered by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council.
