New Sonic slushie supporting Keep Louisiana Beautiful

SONIC Drive-In, a fast food chain, partners with the Louisiana Lieutenant Governor and the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation, creating a Louisiana Blue Pelican SONIC Slush statewide.

This partnership started in 2025 to raise awareness and funds for the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation under the campaign theme of "sipping with a purpose". To celebrate the launch of the drink, the SONIC Drive-In located at 6808 Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge will host a special media event at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2026.

Running from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, the promotion brings the custom drink to all 138 SONIC Drive-Ins across Louisiana to support Keep Louisiana Beautiful's mission. Keep Louisiana Beautiful is dedicated to the beautification of Louisiana through litter prevention, waste reduction, and recycling.

Lieutenant Governor Nungesser originally created the beverage in the Amite SONIC kitchen; it features Sprite, blue coconut flavoring, and sweet cream blended into a refreshing slush. Louisianans can enjoy this drink in any in-state Sonic location during the six-month campaign.
