Elayn Hunt Correctional Center corrections officer Sargent Christian Cangelosi, employed with the Department since June 12, 2026, was arrested and charged with Malfeasance in Office and Second-Degree Battery.
The Cangelosi investigation has been turned over to the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office. This is an ongoing investigation.
