The Federal Emergency Management Agency identified 54 counties in Arkansas as Natural Disaster Areas due to the severe winter storm Fern that took place from January 23rd through February 6th.
The Administrator's Physical Loss Notification from the Federal Emergency Management Agency allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend its resources to areas recovering from the event through emergency loans.
Emergency loans can be used to meet a variety of recovery needs, including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts.
The Farm Service Agency will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability. Applications are open until November 16, 2026.
