BATON ROUGE, La. (Feb. 25, 2026) – Louisiana Healthcare Connections and the Centene Foundation presented a $26,000 check to the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana to support emergency food assistance for families facing food insecurity across Northeast Louisiana.

The funding is part of a broader $125,000 statewide commitment supporting four regional food banks to expand food distribution, enhance pantry capacity in underserved communities, and increase mobile food access in rural areas.

“Reliable access to nutritious food is essential to maintaining good health,” said Jamie Schlottman, Plan President of Louisiana Healthcare Connections. “We are proud to support the Food Bank’s critical work serving families in need.”

“This support strengthens our ability to reach communities with the greatest need,” said Jean Toth, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
