Sibley, La. – The South Webster Industrial District’s Sibley business site has been designated a Louisiana Economic Development (LED) certified business site, confirming it as development-ready and positioned to attract new industrial investment.
The certification verifies zoning, ownership, environmental conditions, and infrastructure, giving companies reliable information up front and helping shorten the site-selection process. With this milestone, the Sibley site becomes part of a select group of development-ready locations across Louisiana.
“This certification signals that Webster Parish is serious about growth,” said Justyn Dixon, president and CEO of North Louisiana Economic Partnership. “Certified sites strengthen the region’s competitiveness by giving companies confidence that they can move quickly.”
“With 16 acres still available, this designation improves our ability to attract an employer who brings quality jobs and new opportunities to the community,” said Hunt Powell, president of the South Webster Industrial District.
LED chief economic competitiveness officer Ileana Ledet said certified sites help companies “reduce time, risk, and cost” when considering a location.
“This site offers strong potential for a manufacturer looking to build to suit,” said Jim Bonsall, president of the Webster Parish Police Jury. “The certification puts us in a better position to recruit long-term investment.”
