The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana plans to nominate former U.S. President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, citing his efforts to promote global peace and stability through initiatives like the Abraham Accords and international ceasefire negotiations.
Chairman Marshall Pierite highlighted Trump’s contributions to easing Middle Eastern tensions, fostering economic cooperation between nations, and revitalizing the U.S. economy—initiatives that have benefited Native Americans, sovereign nations, and rural communities. Since 2018, Trump has received ten Nobel Peace Prize nominations, including five in 2025.
