Louisiana Peach Festival announces “Peach Fest Through the Decades” exhibit in honor of 75th anniversary

RUSTON, LA  [May 1, 2025] – As part of its 75th Anniversary celebration, the Louisiana Peach Festival is excited to announce a special new addition to this year’s festivities: Peach Fest Through the Decades, a free historical exhibit honoring the rich legacy of the beloved festival.

In collaboration with the Lincoln Parish Museum, the exhibit will be open to the public June 2-30, Monday through Friday, and will showcase artifacts and memories from past festivals. From photographs and posters to Peach Pageant memorabilia, the display will highlight the evolution of the festival over the past 75 years.

“We are excited to collaborate with the Peach Fest committee in this historic year for the Louisiana Peach Festival’s 75th Celebration,” said Rick Godley, Director of the Lincoln Parish Museum. “What better place to house the historic memorabilia of Peach Fest than at the Lincoln Parish Museum. The exhibit is especially meaningful for the museum because we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary.”

The Louisiana Peach Festival and Lincoln Parish Museum are calling on the community and past festival goers to contribute memorabilia that captures the spirit of the Peach Festival throughout the decades. Items sought include vintage festival photos, paper guides, awards, t-shirts, posters, Peach Pageant memorabilia, and other items tied to past festivals.

Those wishing to contribute may drop off items in person at the Lincoln Parish Museum between May 1-16, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.. Drop off guidelines and additional information can be found at www.lapeachfest.com/peach-exhibit.

The Peach Fest Through the Decades exhibit offers locals and visitors alike the opportunity to relive the memories, milestones, and community spirit that have shaped the Louisiana Peach Festival for 75 years.
