Christmas in the State Park offers lights, music, and more

Lake D'Arbonne State Park will host Christmas in the Park event, sponsored by the Union Parish Chamber of Commerce. Participants can embark on a captivating drive through a dazzling light display. The park will be transformed into a winter wonderland, creating a magical winter atmosphere.

In addition to the light display, guests will have the opportunity to explore a variety of vendor booths scattered throughout the park. These vendors will offer an array of arts, crafts, and delectable food options, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

To enhance the experience further, an addition has been made this year. An area in the FEMA field has been designated for additional arts, crafts, food vendors, and a stage area. This expansion allows for even more opportunities to indulge in the holiday festivities and discover unique treasures from local artisans.

The drive to the camping area, known as Bethlehem Lane, will be dedicated to local churches. Thirteen churches are participating in this event, bringing their choirs and ensembles during the weekends.

Christmas at the State Park will be held every day from December 9th to December 16th. The festivities will commence at 5:30 PM and continue until 9 PM, allowing ample time for guests to fully immerse themselves in the holiday cheer.

Please note that the entry cost for cars is $10, while buses are welcomed at a rate of $20. You are also asked to bring a canned food item for the food drive to benefit Sisters on the Fly and the Farmerville food bank.
