NELA Arts Council holds Artvent 2023 fundraiser

The NELA Arts Council will be holding Artvent, their annual Fall fundraiser, with drawings taking place at noon on December 1-12. Each drawing can be livestreamed on the NELA Arts Council Facebook page. Raffle tickets will be $50 and can be purchased online at nelaarts.org. Each day after December 1st a raffle will pass so it is suggested that tickets be bought before that date.

Those who buy tickets will get the chance to win one of several prize packages totaling in $29,000 in prizes altogether. These packages include a variety of gifts and prizes. Ranging from a package more tailored to children containing LA Purchase Gardens and Zoo passes as well as gift cards, to a package that includes everything needed to serve dinner for 25. There will also be multiple vacations available in the raffle, such as a 7 night beach vacation, as well as a Region 8 package containing items from throughout this region's 12 parishes.

The NELA Arts Council is an organization that operates within the 12 parishes of Louisiana's Region 8. It is 1 of 9 regional councils in the state with the goal of furthering the arts in Louisiana. "We work with artists and arts organizations," says Council Head Barry Stevens, "We support, promote, and educate about the arts.".

Originally from Monroe, Louisiana, Blaine McKeithen is a Communications major at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He plays the drums and spends most of his time making music with friends, along with music and video editing. He believes that his time is best spent creating things that can be shared with others.
