On Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 2-5pm, the Lincoln Parish Sesquicentennial Committee invites the public to enjoy Trippin’ Through Lincoln, a driving tour of historic sites throughout the parish as part of this year’s Sesquicentennial Celebration. The tour includes 8 stops and 10 points of interest: the TL James House, LA Colored Chautauqua & Camp Ruston, Autrey House, Louisiana Chautauqua, Sheriff’s Dept. Old Parish Prison, Allen Green House & Wire Road, Walnut Creek Church, and the Eddie G. Robinson Museum. Trippin’ Through Lincoln is sponsored by Century Next Bank.
The driving tour stops can be visited in any order, and a Lincoln 150th representative will be at each site to share historical information with visitors. Passports will be available the week of the tour at Century Next Bank, Q94.1, and the Lincoln Parish Library. They are also available at each site the day of the tour.
Find out more information and see a digital passport at facebook.com/Lincoln150th. During the tour, be sure to get the passport stamped at each location. After 6 stamps, snap a selfie and post it to Facebook with #Lincoln150 for a chance to win a $150 gas card. Grab a passport and go Trippin’ Through Lincoln on October 15!
