The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, work will begin to construct new roadway lighting on US 165 from Richwood Rd No 1 / Martin Luther King Dr to LA 15 (Winnsboro Rd), through the Town of Richwood in Ouachita Parish.
The required work will necessitate intermittent left lane closures on US 165, although through traffic and local traffic will be maintained at all times.
Construction of this phase of the project, which includes installing the foundations for the light poles, is expected to last approximately 30 calendar days.
The entire project is expected to be complete in late 2024, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
