City of West Monroe and Kiroli Foundation to host Love Local in the Park May 21 at Kiroli Park

WEST MONROE – The City of West Monroe and the Kiroli Foundation will host “Love Local” Festival on Saturday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Kiroli Park.

This family-friendly outdoor festival will take place on the shaded grounds of Kiroli Park. A celebration of local talent, the day will feature musicians and performers on the Kiroli Park Bandstand as well as Yoga and a Kid Zone. In addition to performances throughout the day, there will be around 50 vendors including food trucks, artisans, and makers selling unique handcrafted items.

May 21 is “National Armed Forces Day”, a national holiday which pays tribute to the men and women who currently serve or have served in the United States military. Military members in uniform or who present a military ID will get in free to the event. The festival welcome at 11
a.m. will include a National Armed Forces Day tribute. The Kiroli Foundation will also have a station for children to color cards of appreciation to military members. The Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana, NELA Chapter 6, will mail the cards to soldiers who are deployed overseas. Admission to Kiroli Park on Saturday, May 21 will be $5 per person and $2 for children 10 and under, beginning at 10 a.m.

Limited seating will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets.
