The North Louisiana Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (NorLEAP), a leader in growing and fostering entrepreneurism throughout North Louisiana, has announced its collaboration with Catalyst, a community-driven workspace in Monroe, with the purpose of connecting North Louisiana businesses with the right resources to help facilitate growth in the region.

The official launch will be celebrated with a block party on November 7 from 4pm to 8pm at the Catalyst co-working space on 424 Desiard St. in Monroe. The event is free to attend and open to the public. For more information, visit www.LouisianaCatalyst.com

“We are going all out for the launch”, says Catalyst director, Joshua Mitchell. “We’re shutting down the 400 block of Desiard for a party with live music and food from 2dudes Brew & Que and Kahlo Tapas & Tequila. There will be complimentary drink tickets for the first 250 people in attendance and much more so get there early. The Bad Monkey Brass Band will perform with a confetti cannon fueled ribbon cutting at 6. Don’t expect a normal ribbon cutting from us!”

In addition to being a dedicated co-working space, Catalyst Powered by NorLEAP will provide startups with intensive business strategy support and exposure to a strong group of experts from the NorLEAP network of mentors, as well as all entities in North Louisiana that have a focus in business and economic development.

“North Louisiana is a region full of opportunities for business owners, entrepreneurs, and innovators,” said Dave Smith, NorLEAP Executive Director. “The decision to move into Monroe and have a permanent presence through a collaboration with Catalyst was just the next step in NorLEAP’s mission of growing the entrepreneurial ecosystem while continuing to stimulate the economy in North Louisiana.”

Through Catalyst, NorLEAP will be able to provide entrepreneurs with services that include but are not limited to, marketing & sales strategies, financial analysis and modeling, creation or refinement of business plans and products, pitch decks, and networking opportunities.

“We see our new accelerator and relationship with NorLEAP as a vital part of our broader innovation platform,” said Joshua Mitchell. “With NorLEAP being one of the largest accelerator programs in North Louisiana, along with the resources and knowledge of our team we find the collaboration to be nothing but a win for the region. We’re excited to help these companies take their business to the next level and look forward to learning from them, too.”

Catalyst membership rates range from $100/month to $500/month, while hourly and daily rates range from $25 to $100. For more information on daily rentals and monthly memberships, visit www.LouisianaCatalyst.com
