Will holiday company parties be a bit more laid back this year, because of the heightened awareness of sexual harassment? A national conversation is underway about office misconduct in the wake of allegations against many high profile celebrities. UNO Business Professor Dr. Mark Rosa says it’s a hypersensitive issue.

It’s now December and this is the first big weekend for gatherings with your bosses and co-workers. Rosa says it’s easy to want to let loose with people you don’t normally socialize with, but if you think you might find it difficult to behave, best to avoid alcohol all together.

Rosa says HR departments are likely re-evaluating their sexual harassment policies as accusations are leading to the firing of well-known individuals. Rosa says videos on what is acceptable in the office and at social functions will likely be shown as part annual training for employees.
